We perform regularly at weddings and private functions as well as with symphonies throughout the region. Our music adds that extra touch of elegance to your special day - especially in settings such as the Ponte Vedra Lodge and Club, the Ribault Club, and churches and synagogues. We also travel to out of town locations. Rebecca Zapen String Trio is versatile in that we can arrange a group to best suit your needs, whether you are looking for music before and during a ceremony, cocktails, reception, dinner party, etc. We are hired most often as a String Trio, which consists of two violins and a cello. Our groups range from a solo instrumentalist, which is most appropriate for very small, intimate gatherings, to a string quartet, which works the best at large, outdoor parties. You may customize the ensemble by including flute, guitar, harp, or trumpet. If you are interested in booking us for a wedding, we offer personalized consultations, and we are happy to share our ideas with you if you need suggestions. About Rebecca Zapen: Rebecca's classical violin studies began at age 2 1/2, under the tutelage of her mother, Jacksonville Symphony Violinist and Suzuki violin teacher Lois Gosa, and culminated in her graduation from the prestigious School of Music at Florida State University, studying under former New York Philharmonic concertmaster Professor Eliot Chapo, and then-graduate student Dr. Lisa Robertson. Rebecca performs regularly with the Coastal Symphony of Georgia, has performed with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and soloed with the Hollywood Philharmonic Orchestra. Zapen also maintains a private teaching studio, performs with her jazz ensemble ZapStar, and as founder of her independent record label, Bashert, is a recording artist and touring songwriter.
